Hajj Foot Patrol Teams

The project aims to enhance the healthcare experience of pilgrims in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, through trained on-foot medical teams providing first aid and medical care within the holy sites and the surrounding areas of the Grand Mosque, while effectively responding to various health cases.

Project Objectives :
  • Enhancing the efficiency and quality of non-emergency medical and first-aid services.

  • Providing mobile healthcare services at pilgrims’ gathering locations.

  • Delivering medical care for cases of heat exhaustion, foot and ankle injuries, and hypoglycemia.

Project Outputs :

Providing on-field and first-aid services to 10,652 beneficiaries. Delivering 16,275 diverse on-site medical services, including vital signs monitoring, treatment of heat exhaustion, management of fatigue and general exhaustion, treatment of foot and ankle injuries, and referrals to healthcare facilities. Covering eight zones across the holy sites and the surrounding areas of the Grand Mosque, based on a needs-mapping plan and in coordination with relevant authorities. Directly referring 138 cases to mobile clinics and hospitals, contributing to life-saving interventions and advanced medical care. Reducing field response time to less than 10 minutes in critical areas. Integrating the work of on-foot teams with healthcare facilities to document cases and submit daily performance reports.
